The DC Publishing team are proud to announce that Enable Magazine, the UK’s leading disability and lifestyle title, has been shortlisted for Consumer Publication of the Year at the PPA Scotland Awards 2022.
The award recognises consumer publications that have had an excellent overall performance in the market, with Enable Magazine nominated in this category alongside other prestigious titles including The Big Issue and Menopause Matters.
As the UK’s most respected and exciting disability and lifestyle publication, each issue of Enable Magazine is bursting with relevant and exclusive content from real life stories and celebrity interviews to advice and spotlight features on the topics that really matter to readers. Every issue the team cover subjects pertinent to the disability community whether readers have a physical, hidden, learning disability and/or mental health conditions, you are a paid or unpaid carer, or a medical professional working with disabled people.
The last year has seen the Enable team go above and beyond to adapt and advance to meet readers’ needs, expanding the magazine’s digital distribution and readership, while covering important topics like the passing of the historic Down Syndrome Act; the concerning wait times for an autism diagnosis; people’s unique experiences of living with chronic conditions like MS and arthritis; the need for more inclusive sex and relationship education for people with a learning disability
The winner of the Consumer Publication of the Year award will be announced on Wednesday 30 November during the awards ceremony at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh.
